How we ranked the best Fortnite lobby music

This is an editorial ranking. In October 2026 we read fortnite.gg's community vote ranking for lobby music and the ranked lists from Gamers Decide and Sportskeeda, took the tracks they agree on, and broke ties in favour of tracks you can still get. We have no usage data, and no rank here is based on it. We describe where each track comes from, not how it sounds.

Sources, prices and Item Shop history come from fnbr.co, and item IDs, sets, artists and descriptions from fortnite-api.com, all read on 28 October 2026. Several packs share an ID with an emote, which is how we know which dance a track belongs to.

The best Fortnite lobby music packs, ranked

1. Coral Chorus

Coral Chorus is the clearest consensus pick for the best Fortnite lobby music: first in the community vote, one of the three tracks one guide says "everybody loves", and in the other guide's top ten. Both tie it to the coral glider, and the game data agrees: the music pack and the Coral Cruiser glider share the Fish Food set. It was the tier-54 reward of the Chapter 1 Season 8 Battle Pass and has never been in the Item Shop, so only players who owned that pass have it.

2. OG (Remix)

OG (Remix) is one guide's number one and fourth in the community vote. It is one of the first lobby tracks ever released: the game data lists four music packs from Chapter 1 Season 6, when lobby music first arrived, and this is one of them, the tier-92 reward of that season's Battle Pass. It has never been in the Item Shop. Its in-game description promises "a remixed taste of nostalgia", and for players who started in Chapter 1, that is exactly why it ranks among the best lobby music.

3. Saxy Groove

Saxy Groove tops one guide's list of lobby tracks everybody loves, sits in the other's top five, and ranks 11th in the community vote. It is the music from the Phone It In emote, which its ID confirms (MusicPack_017_PhoneItIn). Unlike most picks here, it was sold in the Item Shop, at 200 V-Bucks, 14 times between 24 June 2019 and 1 June 2021. It has not returned since, so one of the best music packs is out of reach for newer players for now.

4. OG (Classic)

OG (Classic) ranks second in the community vote, just behind Coral Chorus. Where OG (Remix) reworks the original lobby theme, this pack's description promises "a true taste of nostalgia". It was the tier-50 reward of the Chapter 1 Season X Battle Pass and has never been in the Item Shop. Together with Lobby Classic and the Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 island themes below, it shows how much players value Fortnite's own themes over licensed or emote-based tracks when they pick the best lobby music.

5. Justice

Justice is the lobby version of the Orange Justice emote, the top pick in our best Fortnite emotes ranking. Both guides say so, and the game data backs them up: the pack's ID is MusicPack_015_GoodVibes, and EID_GoodVibes is the Orange Justice emote. It ranks 13th in the community vote, seventh in one guide's top ten, and the other lists it among the tracks everybody loves. It was the tier-12 reward of the Chapter 1 Season 9 Battle Pass and has never been sold in the Item Shop.

6. Lobby Classic

Lobby Classic ranks third in the community vote. Its description is "Press play and revisit Chapter 1." Unlike OG (Classic), it was sold: 200 V-Bucks, with a single Item Shop appearance on 31 January 2022, in Chapter 3 Season 1. One day in the shop more than four years ago makes it one of the hardest tracks on this list to own today, which is the only reason it sits below the Battle Pass picks above it among the best lobby music.

7. Billy Listen

Billy Listen is the lobby track built on the Billy Bounce emote; its ID is MusicPack_050_BillyBounce. One guide ranks it eighth and the community vote puts it tenth. It is one of the best music packs built on an emote, the tier-89 reward of the Chapter 2 Season 3 Battle Pass and has never been in the Item Shop. The guide singles out the squeaky-chair sound effect that goes with the dance, and that link to one of Fortnite's best-known emotes keeps it among the best lobby tracks.

8. Twist

Twist is one guide's number two, and its reviewer goes as far as saying it is one of the few music packs that sounds better than its emote. It ranks 23rd in the community vote for the best lobby music, so players are less sure than the guide. It shares its name with the Twist emote, and its description promises "a soundtrack with a twist". It was the tier-92 reward of the Chapter 1 Season 7 Battle Pass and has never been sold in the Item Shop.

9. Electro-fied!

Electro-fied! is the music from the Electro Swing emote, which its ID (MusicPack_012_ElectroSwing) confirms. One guide puts it fourth among the best music packs, and the community vote ranks it 21st. It is one of the few community favourites that was sold in the Item Shop: 200 V-Bucks, nine times between 21 April 2019 and 28 October 2022. It was introduced in Chapter 1 Season 8. Four years without a shop return keeps it out of the top five here.

10. The End

The End ranks fifth in the community vote. Its description reads "Press play and begin again." It was the tier-48 reward of the Chapter 2 Season 1 Battle Pass, the first season of Chapter 2, and has never been in the Item Shop, so only owners of that pass have it. Neither guide we read covers it; this placement among the best lobby music comes from the vote alone. The game files hold two entries with this name; we list the original, MusicPack_034_SXRocketEvent.

11. Festive

Festive is the highest-ranked seasonal track among the best lobby music, sixth in the community vote. It was the tier-13 reward of the Chapter 1 Season 7 Battle Pass and has never been in the Item Shop. Its description: "Press play and get in the spirit of the season." For anyone who owns it, this is the obvious lobby music to equip around Winterfest, and the best holiday track in the vote.

12. Spies!

Spies! ranks seventh in the community vote. It was the tier-8 reward of the Chapter 2 Season 2 Battle Pass and has never been sold in the Item Shop. There is a newer route to a version of it: "Spies! (Murda Beatz Remix)" exists both as a lobby music item from Chapter 2 Remix and as a Jam Track credited to Epic Games ft. Murda Beatz. The remix is a separate item, but it is the easiest way to get this theme, one of the best lobby tracks of Chapter 2, into your lobby today.

13. Mellow Days

Mellow Days is one guide's number three, and its reviewer rates it among the best melodies in Fortnite. The community vote is much cooler on it, so it lands mid-table among the best lobby music here. Its ID, MusicPack_041_Slick, matches the name of the Slick emote. It was sold in the Item Shop at 200 V-Bucks, four times between 28 January 2020 and 21 November 2021. It was introduced in Chapter 2 Season 1.

14. Solid Groove

Solid Groove is sixth in one guide's list of the best music packs and ranks 30th in the community vote. Its ID, MusicPack_032_GrooveJam, ties it to the Groove Jam emote, and the guide notes the pack revived interest in that emote. It was the tier-84 reward of the Chapter 2 Season 1 Battle Pass and has never been in the Item Shop. Its description sums up the pitch: "Press play and feel the funk."

15. Chapter 3 Island Theme

The Chapter 3 Island Theme ranks eighth in the community vote, the best result for any chapter-launch theme. It was a free login reward in Chapter 3 Season 1 and was never sold in the Item Shop. Its description reads "Flip the record and press play." If you logged in during that season, you already have one of the best lobby tracks in the game, so check your Locker before spending V-Bucks on other lobby music.

16. The Re-OG

The Re-OG ranks ninth in the community vote. It was a free login reward in Chapter 4 Season OG (the game data first logged it on 3 November 2023) and was never sold in the Item Shop. Its description, "Press play and go back in time...", matches that season's theme. It belongs with OG (Classic) and Lobby Classic: three of the community's top ten picks for the best lobby music are versions of Fortnite's original lobby sound.

17. Chapter 4 Island Theme

The Chapter 4 Island Theme ranks 12th in the community vote. Like the Chapter 3 theme, it was a free login reward, this time in Chapter 4 Season 1, and it has never been in the Item Shop. Its description is "Press play and forge a new home." It is one of the best lobby tracks for players who started in Chapter 4 and want that chapter's sound in the lobby.

18. Save the World

The Save the World track ranks 14th in the community vote for the best lobby music. It is the default track for owners of Save the World, Fortnite's co-op mode, and it sits in the Save the World set in the game data. It has never been in the Item Shop. If you own Save the World, check your Locker before buying any lobby music: you may already have a track the community rates higher than most paid ones.

19. Freestylin' Remix

Freestylin' Remix ranks 15th in the community vote, among the best lobby tracks earned from a challenge. Its ID, MusicPack_047_FreestylinClubRemix, points to the Freestylin' emote. It was the reward for a challenge, "Visit Deadpool's Yacht", in Chapter 2 Season 2, and it has never been sold in the Item Shop. Its description: "Press play and set yourself free." Pair it with the Freestylin' emote, which also appears in rankings of the best emotes.

20. Squeaky Clean

Squeaky Clean is the Floss track, as its ID (MusicPack_001_Floss) and its description, "Press play and floss like a boss", both make clear. It ranks 16th in the community vote. It is one of the four original lobby music packs from Chapter 1 Season 6, where it was the tier-13 Battle Pass reward, and it has never been sold in the Item Shop. The Floss is one of Fortnite's best-known dances, and this is its lobby version, one of the best lobby tracks tied to an emote.

21. Disco

Disco is ninth in one guide's top ten and ranks 37th in the community vote. It belongs to the Fortnite Fever set alongside the Disco Fever emote, the Disco Diva and Funk Ops outfits and the Get Down! glider, so it is one of the best lobby tracks for a full themed loadout. It was the tier-54 reward of the Chapter 1 Season 7 Battle Pass and has never been sold in the Item Shop. Its description: "Press play to get down."

22. Long Ride Home

Long Ride Home ranks 17th in the community vote, the highest of the Chapter 3 Battle Pass tracks and one of the best lobby tracks of that chapter. It was on page 9 of the Chapter 3 Season 3 Battle Pass and has never been sold in the Item Shop. It belongs to the Vibin' set with the Vibrant Vibin' emote and the Battle Bloom glider. Its description reads "Press play and embrace the journey."

23. OG (Future Remix)

OG (Future Remix) ranks 18th in the community vote and is the most available OG-themed track here. The lobby music item sold for 200 V-Bucks, six times between 2 September 2020 and 9 December 2022. A Jam Track with the same title, credited to Epic Games, has been in the game data since 5 January 2024, and Epic's help centre says that since February 2025, lobby tracks with a Jam Track variant are available only in their Jam Track version. In today's Locker, look for it under Jam Tracks.

24. You Don't Know Me

You Don't Know Me ranks 19th in the community vote, the best result for a Chapter 5 track. It was on page 2 of the Chapter 5 Season 1 Battle Pass, in The Underground set with the Hope outfit and the I'm a Mystery emote, and it was never in the Item Shop as lobby music. A Jam Track with the same title, credited to Epic Games, also exists, and since February 2025 Epic keeps such tracks only in their Jam Track version, so owners will find it in the Jam Track section of the Locker.

25. Default Vibe

Default Vibe is the highest-ranked Icon Series lobby track, 20th in the community vote. Its in-game description credits it as "Lazerism Remix by Major Lazer", and it is in the Lazerism set with the Major Lazer outfit. It sold for 200 V-Bucks, 13 times between 23 August 2019 and 13 June 2021. The same set also includes a second Icon Series track, Default Fire. Among licensed music packs, it is one of the best.

26. Flip Reset

Flip Reset ranks 22nd in the community vote for the best lobby music. It is in the Rocket League set and was a free login reward in Chapter 2 Season 5, never sold in the Item Shop. Its description reads "Press Reset and flip out." It is a fitting pick for players who also play Rocket League, and a free one for anyone who logged in that season.

27. Fortnitemares 2020

Fortnitemares 2020 ranks 24th in the community vote and is the top Halloween track. It sold for 200 V-Bucks, but it was in the Item Shop on a single day, 31 October 2020, the shortest shop history of the paid tracks here. Its description is "Press play and get ready to scream!" It ranks far above the older Eerie pack in the vote, so it is the best lobby music to want for Fortnitemares.

28. Rip & Tear (2016)

Rip & Tear (2016) ranks 25th in the community vote and is the best lobby music here for Doom fans. It is a Gaming Legends Series item in the Ultra-Nightmare set, which also holds the Doom Slayer outfit and the Cacodemon glider. It was a Winterfest present in Chapter 4 Season 1 and has never been in the Item Shop. It is the natural lobby track for anyone who runs the Doom Slayer outfit, one of our best Fortnite skins.

29. Future Dreams

Future Dreams ranks 26th in the community vote for the best Fortnite lobby music. It is in the Retro Redux set with the Imani outfit, the Expressionism emote and the Needle Dropper glider, and it was on page 4 of the Chapter 4 Season 2 Battle Pass, never sold in the Item Shop. Its description: "Press play and make something magical." It is the best-rated Chapter 4 Battle Pass track in the vote and a natural match for the Imani outfit.

30. Raise Up

Raise Up rounds out the list of the best Fortnite lobby music at 27th in the community vote. Its ID (MusicPack_078_RaiseTheRoof) and description, "Press play and raise the roof", tie it to the Raise the Roof emote. It was the tier-42 reward of the Chapter 2 Season 6 Battle Pass and has never been sold in the Item Shop. It is a good pick for players who like the emote-based tracks higher up this list.

Which of the best Fortnite lobby music packs can you still get?

The Battle Pass packs here have never been sold. The ones that were sold cost 200 V-Bucks, but none of them has been in the Item Shop since 9 December 2022, so a past price is no promise of a return. The free ones were login, challenge or Winterfest rewards; the free skins guide lists the free rewards you can still claim.

New lobby tracks now arrive as Jam Tracks, which work as lobby music too. They rotate in the shop and come with seasonal passes; the Music Pass is one of the passes included with the Fortnite Crew. If an old favourite has a Jam Track version, that is the version you will find today.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best lobby music in Fortnite?

Coral Chorus is the strongest consensus pick: first in the community vote and praised by both guides we read. OG (Remix), Saxy Groove and OG (Classic) follow. Of those four, only Saxy Groove was ever sold in the Item Shop; the others were Battle Pass rewards.

Can you still buy old Fortnite lobby music?

Only if it returns to the Item Shop. Most music packs on this list were Battle Pass rewards and have never been sold. Paid packs such as Saxy Groove, Electro-fied! and Mellow Days cost 200 V-Bucks, but none of them has been in the shop since December 2022.

Are Jam Tracks the same as lobby music?

No, but they overlap. Jam Tracks are music items used in Fortnite Festival, as Battle Royale intro and victory music, and as lobby music, according to Epic's help centre; they rotate in the shop and come with seasonal passes. The game data now holds far more Jam Tracks than classic lobby music items, and many lobby music titles also have an Epic Games Jam Track version. We rank the classic lobby music packs here.

Are new lobby music packs still released?

Not as separate lobby music items. The newest one in the game data was added on 10 December 2024. Since then new tracks arrive as Jam Tracks, and Epic says that from February 2025 lobby tracks with a Jam Track variant are available only as the Jam Track.

How do I change my lobby music in Fortnite?

Open the Locker, go to the lobby music slot and pick a track you own. If you hear nothing in the lobby, check that Music Volume is not set to 0 in the audio settings.
